Shambhoo India was born from the vision of Manish, our founder and a lifelong seeker of truth. With over 20 years of experience in tourism and hospitality, Manish has always loved welcoming people and creating meaningful travel experiences. However, his life took a transformative turn seven years ago when he suffered a severe stroke, leaving the left side of his body nearly paralyzed.
What seemed like a devastating event became a profound wake-up call. During his recovery, Manish found strength in spirituality, particularly through his devotion to Shiva (Shambhoo) and the transformative practice of Vipassana meditation. This ancient technique of self-awareness and mindfulness became a cornerstone of his healing journey, guiding him toward inner peace and clarity.
Seeking to deepen his connection to the sacred, Manish embarked on a pilgrimage to the Himalayas, where he found inspiration in the stillness of the mountains and the wisdom of India’s spiritual traditions. It was here that the seed of Shambhoo India was planted. Through a series of synchronistic events and the support of like-minded partners, his vision began to take shape.
Today, Shambhoo India is more than a travel agency—it’s a labor of love and a manifestation of Manish’s belief in the transformative power of travel, mindfulness, and spiritual connection.
The name Shambhoo is one of the many revered names of Lord Shiva, the cosmic yogi and symbol of transformation and peace in Hindu tradition. It translates to “The Auspicious One” or “The Bestower of Joy and Bliss.” Shiva represents the union of stillness and energy, the balance of destruction and creation, and the timeless wisdom that guides the soul toward liberation.
